Melon Becomes Kin + Carta! It's Party Time!
We're excited about the next chapter of our amazing journey as a community which is now going global as we become Kin + Carta! Our teams are by now cultivating strong friendships and over 30% of them are already collaborating closely. Regular visits, joint projects, and shared initiatives are becoming an essential part of our daily operations. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead and we'd like to invite you to celebrate with us!

Unveiling the Future: Our Upcoming Rebranding Campaign
An engaging rebranding campaign is about to unfold in the autumn. We're all set to introduce you to Kin + Carta across various media and around the cities of all our 4 offices, and at the developers’ and community events: Beer JS Skopje, Tech Insights with Women In Tech Macedonia, DevCon Data Edition, Ohrid Tech Talk, Hack4Good Hackathon and DIGIT Workshop with FINKI Students Parliament. Come and have a chat with us!

Tradition Endures: DevCon Skopje 2023
After its jump-start in 2019 the web and mobile developer community conference - DevCon was back in Skopje this May. With 7 speakers from Bulgaria, Macedonia, and the UK and more than 250 people attending, the event was a grand success, see for yourself. We are planning to host DevCon in Pristina again in November, follow us for updates. Even as we become Kin + Carta, this cherished tradition continues to be a beacon of industry insights and networking opportunities.

South East Europe Get-Together
Of all our events, we love the most our annual teambuilding when we gather together from around Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and the UK. This year, we met in Bansko for classic Melon-style parties, games, and hikes. We got to know each other even better under the guiding principle of "I am because we are." As we look back on this heartfelt event, it's a reminder that collaboration is at the core of our shared success.

Our Ongoing CSR
For many years, our team members had initiated and participated in various charitable events and projects. Naturally, in 2018 we established our Responsibility Program. With a designated and increasing annual budget, it aims at better and more sustainable support for amazing non-governmental organization. In 2022 we are proud to have partnered with Macedonian NGO Lulka who are improving parents’ skills for wholesome care for their premature babies. We also took part in the IT4Charity race together with several companies from the IT community and supported the minimization of the educational gap that children without parents and parental care are facing.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness
In our pursuit of an inclusive workplace, we're organizing events across our 4 offices, dedicating each month of the year to a specific topic as part of the IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, and awareness) program. We aim to ensure that every individual, regardless of gender, race, religion or background, feels completely safe and empowered as part of our teams. From celebrating International Women's Month in March to focusing on diversity in April, men's health in November and embracing LGBTQ+ awareness in June, our monthly initiatives create a continuous conversation about equality and understanding. With in-house workshops and presentations and support for local community events, we're raising awareness and fostering a workplace where everyone can be their authentic selves and every voice matter. For the first time, together with Kin + Carta we supported both Sofia Pride and Skopje Pride Parade.
Referral Program
Our Referral program remains valid for you – our alumni. History has shown that the candidates we receive via referrals are more successful and more likely to remain as long-term employees, compared to any other channel.
If you have friends or acquaintances who you think would be a good fit for Melon's production team, you can send their CVs and contacts to hr@melontech.com. We'll get in touch with them and if they join Melon and pass the trial period, as a symbolic token of gratitude we'll offer you:
